Hi! Is it really only Tuesday!?! Work went by a little faster today, thankfully. Lately, my patients haven’t been showing up, and it has definitely made my ten hour days stretch on.
On another note, my calves are a bit sore from my run Sunday. It must have been a long time since I ran that my legs are this sore. Guess it’s a sign that I should be changing up my cardio workouts a bit more.
I made it to 5am spin again. I know it is not all that exciting to share since it is part of my usual routine. I just love this class so much. The instructor played a lot more country, some Carrie Underwood and Darius Rucker (who I guess is doing country now… and is actually pretty darn good) to name a few.
I have been debating for a while whether to get cycle shoes. I only go to spin twice a week, sometimes three times, so I am not sure if it is the best investment. What do you think? For those of you that do spin, do you have shoes?
I was so excited to try out my
experiment breakfast this morning. I started by scrambling eggs and adding black beans and low fat cheddar cheese to the mix. I topped it with salsa and wrapped it in a whole wheat tortilla. It was just delicious!
Tuesdays are always tough since I am up so much earlier, I feel like I am always eating. Since I had this at 7 am, I wasn’t sure if it would hold me over until lunch. It must have been all that protein since it did hold me over pretty well.
I took some leftovers from a dinner my sister and I made the night before. It was a Greek inspired dinner and the leftovers today were just as good. I combined spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, chicken, feta, and hummus to make a Greek salad of sorts.
I also had a fruit salad on the side. It included all types of yummy fruit: pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes, and peaches.
All enjoyed while reading my latest of Real Simple magazine. Love this magazine!
I had a key lime pie Larabar as a snack today. I have never tried this flavor before. It was so good!
Ingredients: dates, cashews, almonds, unsweetened coconut, lime juice concentrate.
I was so happy to meet one of my friends for dinner tonight. Our schedules have been pretty busy so it was nice to sit down with her and catch up.
We started our night with a glass of wine. I had a glass of cab. (Sorry the pics didn’t come out well, it was dark).
We ate at this local bar called Fireside. Last time we came here, we loved the cheese platter so much that we decided to order it again.
I am ready to get into bed. It was one long day. I have loads of laundry (what’s new) to do tomorrow. I am going to get in a workout in but the rest of the day seems to be free.
Hope your week is flying by!
